Sylvia Archuleta

Sylvia V. Archuleta

Our beloved Sylvia V. Archuleta went to with our Lord on Thursday, May 14, 2020 surrounded by her love ones.

On July 1, 1956 Sylvia was born to Guillermo (Willie) and Helen Archuleta in Roswell, NM. Both have preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her son Manuel Munoz; grandson Eric Garcia; her maternal grandparents Francisco and Lillia Acevedo; paternal grandparents Jose Miquel and Sara Archuleta; brothers Louis and Rudy Archuleta; sisters Virginia Flores and Olivia (Libby) Archuleta and nephews Alex Chris Archuleta and Sammy Ray Archuleta.

Sylvia was a homemaker at the time of her passing, she had worked several different occupations thru out her life. She had many names some called her Silver, Mom, Grandma, Mommas and even Old Lady, she was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister and great friend to many. Sylvia was an amazing lady with a big heart who helped anyone she could and if she couldn’t do it, she would figure it out to get it done. She loved her sons more than they will ever know, all she ever wanted was the best for them and to live a good life. One of the most important people in her life was her grandson Andrew who she had raised since a baby, he was her world and she knows that he is going to make her very proud in his new adventures. She may not be here in the present, but her heart and soul will always be with us. Sylvia still has her eyes on us from the blue skies above, still taking care of us so let’s make her proud and let her rest in peace knowing we will all be strong and live our life’s to the fullest. Sylvia will be deeply loved and miss by all who knew her. Rest in peace mommas, no more pain.

Sylvia was the best cook ever and everyone loved her food, especially her bomb enchiladas! She loved playing bingo and going to the casinos, taking crazy weekend girl get-aways and road trips, but most of all she loved spending time with her niece Dora Archuleta in Albuquerque and great nieces Elena Baltazar and Vanessa Baltazar and her friends Tamra Gibson and Kim Stewart.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons Anthony Archuleta and fiancé Cassie Carrillo whom she loved very much, Carlos Archuleta and Eric Munoz.  She is also survived by her grandchildren: Manuel Pantoja, Joeseph Archuleta, Samantha Verespy, Morelia Archuleta, Christopher and Brianna Lebya, Dominic Tavarez, William Archuleta, Joseph Munoz, Eric Munoz, William Munoz, Elisia Munoz, Erica Munoz, Ashley Munoz, Kylee Munoz, and Matthew Munoz, also her grandchildren Andrew Munoz and Niya Contreras whom she raised as her own.
