Ruby Pearl Montgomery

God has called another angel home, Ruby Pearl Montgomery earned her angel wings on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at the age of 40. She was born to Leona and Charles Montgomery in Roswell, NM on January 10, 1981.

Ruby was affectionately called “Scooby” by her mother Leona. She loved to watch tv and her favorite show was “Scooby-Doo Where Are You.” Visits to Uncle Johnny’s house were bonding times. They sat side by side in their recliners alternating tv times between football and “Scooby-Doo” episodes, where much information was shared about their favorite shows.

Ruby loved animals, especially her dog named Poodle and her blind cat named Homeless. She had a passion for coloring, Ruby could have started the first coloring book library with all her books. She also loved teen magazines, so it could be said when she shopped at Walmart it was for paper items (her coloring books and magazines). Ruby may not have known how to shop online but she sure knew how to talk her mom into ordering what she wanted from the hundreds of catalogs they got in the mail.

Ruby is preceded in death by her sister Sara Jane Montgomery, maternal and paternal grandparents and many aunts and uncles.

Those left to cherish her memory are her mother Leona Montgomery; aunt Allen Hardcastle, aunt Sandy and uncle Johnny Montgomery and many cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, Monday, April 19, 2021 at Ballard Funeral Home with a memorial service to be held at a later date.
