Gracie Marie Gomez, age 49, of Roswell, NM went to be with her Savior Jesus Christ, Saturday, December 12, 2020. She was born December 2, 1971 to Bivian and Mary Gomez who were blessed with Gracie, an angel from heaven.
Gracie lived up to her name as a beautiful, humble lady full of the grace of God. She was an example of the love of God to all who knew her and always happy for the opportunity to share the love of God to others. Gracie was strong in her faith, yet a gentle soul. She would stop everything she was doing just to help someone in need before she would think of herself.
Even amid trials of life and ongoing health challenges, she maintained her graceful smile (Isaiah 53:1). It was obvious that her strength came from the Lord. She was also blessed to have such a loving husband Danny by her side and a supportive family. Her courage will always be remembered as an inspiration to her family. Gracie left behind a legacy of love in how she lived, always giving, and going the extra mile for others. This is what made her so special.
Those left to cherish her memories are her husband of 14 years Danny "Donkey" Gomez, father Bivian Gomez, mother Mary and husband John Henry Archuleta; brothers Rick and wife Linda, Tim and wife Cheli, Fabian and wife Michelle; nephews Timothy, Ricky Jr., Jacob, Fermin, Randy, Nehemiah, and Luke; nieces Danica, Kalistah, Ann-Marie, and Hadassah; great nephews, Avidon, Jacob, Paxton Jr, James, Fermin "FJ"; great nieces, Marilyn, Karmella, Adaleigh, Lola, and Avalee and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A celebration service will be held December 19, 2020 at 3 pm at Christ Church. Seats are limited. Social distancing and masks are required. There will be a Facebook live stream from Hope Family Church of God courtesy of Pastors Tim and Jackie Hiller.
2 Corinthians 5:8 "... to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord."
For those I love and those who loved me, when I am gone, release me and let me go. I have so many things to see and do. You must not tie yourself to me with tears. Be happy that we had so many years. I gave you my love. You can only guess how much you gave to me in happiness. I thank you for the love you have shown, but now it’s time I travel on alone. So, grieve awhile, for if grieve you must. Then let your grief be comforted by trust. Its only for a while that we must part, so bless the memories within your heart. I will not be far away, for life goes on. And then, when you must come this way alone, I will greet you with a smile, and say, "Welcome Home."
