Edmund "Eddie" Chapin Jr.

November 18, 1980 — May 6, 2021

Edmund “Eddie” John Chapin Jr.

Edmund (Eddie) John Chapin Jr., 40 passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021 in Roswell with loved ones by his side. Eddie was born in a US Navy hospital in Okinawa, Japan on November 18, 1980. Eddie grew up in Roswell, but did spend time in Berlin and Augsburg, Germany with his father, Edmund John Chapin Sr., and stepmother Christiane Chapin.

Eddie was a free spirit who enjoyed karate, hunting, fishing, being outdoors enjoying life, and fixing up cars and appliances for friends and others. He was always there to help and brighten the lives of others, he was adored and loved by many. There was nothing Eddie liked better than an interesting conversation with someone he knew or some stranger he just met, he could have a very deep and engaging conversation with anyone. Eddie had a passion for hunting, riding his Harley and just being outdoors with family and friends, he lived every day to the fullest with no fear and no regrets. One thing for sure Eddie loved Kim and his children more than anything in this world and he sure was a momma’s boy, Eddie adored and loved his mom like nobody else. He had a heart of gold and the courage of a lion; his smile would light up the room. Eddie was full of joy, laughter and would give the biggest hugs that he would pick you up and it felt like he was going to break every bone in your body.

Eddie will be truly missed by all who loved him dearly and knew him. Fly high in the mountains every day, you are gone but will never be forgotten!

Those left to cherish his memory are  his mother Pauline and step-father Richard “Snuff” Hunt; father Edmund Chapin Sr. and step-mother Christiane; the love of his life and partner of nearly 20 years, Kimberly Storie; daughters Adrianna, Marissa, Isabella, and son Zander; sisters Barbara, Linda and Cherie, as well as many additional aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Ballard Funeral Home Chapel.

Miss Me But Let Me Go

When I come to the end of the road

And the sun has set for me

I want no rites in a gloom filled room

Why cry for a soul set free?

Miss me a little, but not too long

And not with your head bowed low.

Remember the love that we once shared

Miss me, but let me go

For this is the journey we all must take

And each must go alone.

It’s all a part of the Master's plan

A step on the road to home

When you are lonely and sick of heart

Go to the friends we know

And bury your sorrow in doing good deeds

Miss me but let me go.
