Daniel Soto Jr.

Daniel Soto Jr. left this earth on Saturday, December 4, 2021 to rejoin his father, Daniel Soto Sr., mother, Josie Soto, sisters, Odelia Soto and Christina Ortiz, and daughter, Christy Soto.

Daniel was born September 27, 1954 in Lubbock, TX but was most recently a resident of Grapevine, TX. In his youth, Daniel was a talented athlete and his passion for sports lasted throughout his lifetime. He spent several years working in a leadership role in the oil field before transitioning to a career in healthcare where he enjoyed caring for patients and their families.

After his retirement, Daniel found happiness in indoor/outdoor gardening and expressing his creativity through art. He also loved strategy games, especially chess. Daniel will most be remembered for his love of good music, his great sense of humor, and for his unwavering strength, courage, and determination.

Left to honor his memory include his beloved Amanda, his children, Theresa Montoya, Daniel Soto III, Marissa Soto (Sam), Danielle Soto, and William Norfleet. He is also survived by his siblings, Freddie Soto (Laurie), Patricia Andreas (John), John Soto (George), and Ray Soto (Brenda), his grandchildren, and numerous other family members and friends.

Daniel would have liked to thank everyone for their extra love and support throughout his life and in his final days.

Pallbearers: Daniel Soto III, William Norfleet, Jovon Freeman, Carlos Soto, Andrew Berlanga Jr., and David Soto.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 7:00 pm, Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Ballard Funeral Home. A rosary will be at 9:30 am, Friday, December 10, 2021 at the Ave Maria Center with services to follow at 10:00 am.
