Amparo Jimenez

Amparo Jimenez passed away on Friday, October 2, 2020 at the age of 91.  She was born in Presidio, TX and moved to Roswell, NM at a young age.  Amparo married the love of her life David Jimenez in 1951.

Amparo was a loving wife and mother who is survived by her four sons and their spouses Edmundo and Cecilia Jimenez of Espanola, NM; Walter David and Peggy of Roswell, NM; Bill and Cathy Jimenez of Albuquerque, NM; and Joe Alfred and Nancy Jimenez of Las Vegas, NV. Her eight grandchildren and their spouses. Stephanie and Peter Stover, Angela and Scott Brim, Cammie and Jessica Aguirre, Valerie and Nicholas Thompson.  Melanie Jimenez, Billy Jimenez, Francesca and Tyris Varga and Robert and Kati Hernandez. Her 12 great grandchildren Kylie, Mackenzie, Charity Stover; Jeff David and Ashlynn Irish, Camdyn Aguirre, Satine, Jocelyn, Awesome and Truth Thompson; Jordan Valdez and Jasmine Jimenez; Ava Belle and Gianna Joy Varga; Robert and Joey Hernandez; Her siblings Lupe Perez and Basiliza Chaves of Roswell, NM, Abelardo and Graciela Anaya of Colorado. She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.

Amparo is preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years David Jimenez, her mother and father, Marcial and Ester Anaya, 2 brothers Juan and Jose Anaya and 4 sisters Socorro Suarez, Estella Ortega, Beatriz Brito, and Hortencia Rico.

Visitation will be held from 11:00am – 4:00pm on Monday, October 5, 2020 at Ballard Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:00am on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at Grace Community Church. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.
