William Motto

January 2, 1946 — December 10, 2018

William "Bill" Paul Motto
On the evening of December 10, 2018 Bill Motto went home to be with his Lord. Bill was born to Paul and Betty Motto in Pottsville, PA on January 02, 1946, both of his parents have preceded him in death, but had called Roswell his home for the past 30 years.
Bill graduated from William Penn High School in New Castle Delaware and after finishing school worked at the General Motors plant in Wilmington Delaware and Oklahoma City too. He was a proud serving member of the Delaware National Guard for over six years. On June 25, 1966 Bill married his lifelong partner, Kay Everett, and the two have celebrated 52 years together. Their love was the cornerstone of a marriage based on the foundation and obedience of Godly faith. He lived the Word and demonstrated it daily and his legacy is forever written in the family that he cherished and served.
Bill worked and retired from the Maintenance Department of the Roswell Independent School District and dedicated his time and skill to helping keep things moving in the right direction. Bill's greatest joy in life was his kids and grandkids! He loved being Pop Pop, and was Pop Pop to more than his grandchildren. He loved his church and his church family at First United Methodist Church Roswell where he volunteered his time with the community Help Fund and many other ministries. He enjoyed piddling with wood and tinkering in the garage and on summer evenings sitting on the porch and drinking his coffee. Bill was a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan and supported his team through the good and bad.
Mr. Motto is survived by his wife Kay; his four children Mike and Linda Motto, Stacie and Dave Motto-Owen, Kevin and Rachae Motto and Marissa Motto; nine grandchildren Davie Kay, Carlos, Gavyn, Hannah, Shelby, Sophia, Rosemary, Sarah and John Paul. He is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Betty Motto of New Castle, Delaware; and sister Charlotte Cromby.
To honor Bill's memory a donation may be made to the First United Methodist Church Community Help Fund.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday December 15, 2018 at 10:00AM at First United Methodist Church with his cremated remains to be placed in the columbarium at the church.
