Vick I. Purcell passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Covenant Hospital in Lubbock, Texas. She was 74. Vicki was born on October 17, 1951, in Deming, New Mexico she was the daughter of Walter Janecka and Beth Stephens; both preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband Charles Purcell of the home. She has 4 children who survive her, Christopher Purcell (Melissa) of Denver, CO, Melinda Purcell (Stephen) of Roswell NM, Mike Purcell (Jeffe) of Roswell NM, and Josh Purcell of Denver, CO. She is also survived by grandsons Brody Purcell of Roswell NM and Dylan Walter's of Denver CO. and Jakob Purcell of Albuquerque NM. 1 granddaughter Karly Purcell of Albuquerque NM. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Tami Spencer of Lubbock TX and Judy Sanders of Leander, TX. She is survived by 3 brothers, Billy Stephens of Fort Worth TX, Randy Stephens of Fort Worth TX and Bud Stephens of Roswell NM. She is also survived by 10 nephews and 5 nieces.
She is preceded in death by her son Joseph Purcell, 1 brother Kenneth Janecka and 1 sister Connie Stockton.
Vicki was employed by St. Peter Catholic Church; she loved her church family.
Rosary will be held Friday, March 27, 2026, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, at 9:30 am, with Mass to follow at 10:00 am.
