Theresa Matta

Theresa Matta was born (Antonia Beatriz Zamora) on May 10. 1936 to Vidal Zamora and Maria Rita Zamora. Theresa died April 17. 2024.

Theresa was the youngest of 6 children. Theresa married Armando Matta on October 30, 1954. They were married for 67 years. Theresa and Annando had three children Patricia, John, and Rosemary.

Theresa was a loving wife, sister, and mother. Theresa enjoyed cooking. Sewing, hunting, camping, and fishing. Theresa's biggest passion was spending as much time as possible with her family. In her later years Theresa was a Casa Court Advocate. She helped her husband and son run the family construction business for 50 years. She will dearly be missed by those who loved her and knew her.

Theresa was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband Armando, and two daughters Patricia Bejarano and Rosemary Matta.

She leaves behind a sister Arsenia Flores and son John Matta and wife Gloria Matta and their three daughters. Son in law John Bejarano and 4 children, Alfred Francia and 2 children. Theresa had 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Monday April 29th from 4:00pm -7:00pm at Ballard Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday April 30d1 at 10:00 am at Memory Lawn Cemetery on East 19th Street with Doug Austin officiating.

The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice Staff and volunteers for their care and time spent caring for Theresa. The family would also like to thank Country Club Road Church of Christ, for the food and their kindness. Special thanks to the Senior Joy Center for the meals provided to Theresa, it was most appreciated.
