RITA AVELINA ALARID

Services are scheduled for 10:30 AM. Thursday, September 21, 2006 at Church on the Move for Rita Avelina Alarid who passed away September 15, 2006 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. Pastor Ruben of Church on the Move will officiate and special music will be provided by Sevino Sanchez.

Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.

Rita was born May 5, 1927 in Santa Rosa, New Mexico, to Juan Sena and Julia Apodaca Sena. Both parents preceded her in death.

On October 10, 1947 she and Charlie Arturo Alarid were married in Roswell. He survives her at the family home.

When she was very young, her family moved to Roswell. She was educated in the Roswell schools and was employed by the Roswell Independent School District for many years.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Carlos Alarid of Santa Fe, NM; daughter, Gloria Pafford of San Patricio, NM; brothers, Max Sena of Alamogordo, NM, Johnny Sena of Roswell and Ernie Sena of Roswell; sisters, Virginia Villescas of Albuquerque, Evelyn Hill of Albuquerque, NM, Susie Sena of Los Lunas, NM, Lala Ginnani of Roswell and Grace Soto of Roswell.

Mrs. Alarid was a faithful servant of the Lord, which was her guidepost for everyday living. She also was preceded in death by one son, Tito Alarid in 1997. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents.

Pallbearers will be Samuel Alarid, Isaac Pease, Tomas Alarid, Donnie Alarid, Gilbert Escarcida and Joaquin Alarid.

Viewing for Mrs Alarid will be from 9:00 AM until the time of service service at 10:30 AM, at Church on the Move.
