Rebecca “Becky” Drum

Rebecca Drum, lovingly known as Becky, passed away at her home on June 15, 2025.

Becky was born on October 29, 1954, in Kansas City, Missouri, and raised in Tucumcari, New Mexico. In 1974, she moved to Roswell to attend nursing school at Eastern New Mexico University – Roswell. She went on to dedicate more than 28 years of her life to caring for others as a labor and delivery nurse at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. Her steady hands and kind heart helped bring countless new lives into the world, leaving a lasting legacy in the community she served.

In 1981, she married the love of her life, James Drum. Together they shared a deep bond and a quiet, joyful life.

After retiring from a fulfilling career, Becky embraced her love of dogs, enjoyed traveling, and could often be found trying new dishes at local restaurants. She was also an active and enthusiastic member of her bowling team, always quick to share a laugh and cheer on her teammates.

Becky is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, sister, and grandparents. She is survived by her devoted husband, James Drum, and her sister, Pam Grose of Tucumcari, NM.

Becky will be remembered for her compassionate spirit, humor, and the love she shared so freely with those around her. She touched many lives and will be deeply missed.
