Raymond Higgins

Graveside Masonic services will be conducted under the Auspices of the Roswell Masonic Low Twelve Club at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday September 30, 2006 at Hagerman Cemetery, for Raymond Lee Jack Higgins, of Roswell, who passed away on September 26, 2006 at a local nursing home. He was 90 years old.

Jack was born on February 20, 1916 in Merkel, Texas. He worked for Tinnie Mercantile Co, Hondo Oil and Gas, and Diamond A Cattle Co. In June of 1944 he married Cora Gulgham. She preceded him in death.

Jack was a member of the Masonic Lodge, and was an avid bowler. He loved fishing, playing dominoes, and listening to baseball. He liked to visit with family and friends and discuss the old times. He used to drive around remote areas and show the grandkids where wells were drilled.

Survivors include his sons, Jerry West of Arizona, and Rodney West and his wife Brenda of Artesia, NM, his daughter Ann Bentley and her husband Charles of Roswell, 7 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received at the home of Chuck and Judy Parham at 1714 W. 3rd St. in Roswell, NM after the service.
