Patricia Ann Dalton, born on January 23, 1950, in Tallulah, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026, in Roswell, New Mexico. Her 76 years were marked by deep devotion to her family, unyielding resilience, and an enduring kindness that touched all who knew her.
Patricia’s early years in Louisiana were the foundation of a life guided by compassion and integrity. Throughout her life, she remained proud of her roots and carried with her the values instilled by her parents, Jim Hunter and Norma Jean Miner, both of whom preceded her in death. Alongside her loving parents, Patricia now joins her beloved husband, Walter S. Dalton, her dear son, James R. Aguirre, and her cherished brother, Edwin Hunter, 3 sisters and many relatives.
Patricia’s legacy is embodied in her surviving family, to whom she offered unwavering love and support. She is mourned and deeply missed by her daughters, Annette Berg and Chalmarie Sills, whose lives have been enriched by her guidance, affection, and example of strength. Patricia’s grandchildren, Brandan Berg, Ryan Berg, Kristan Harris, Kayla Dalton, Melissa Garcia, Perry Garcia, Robert Garcia and Ashton Garcia, remember her as a source of gentle encouragement and steadfast warmth. Her great-grandchildren—Remington Marrujo, Landon Lee Marrujo, Farrah Lee Garcia, Talon Harris, Morgan Harris, Hayden Harris, Arian Harris, Taylor Berg and Mercedes Berg—carry forward the light of her spirit in their youthful vigor and joy.
Patricia is also survived by her sister, Ida Mae Breed Love, with whom she shared a special bond that endured throughout their lives. The connection between the sisters was a testament to the importance Patricia placed on family ties and the comfort found in a shared history.
Though Patricia faced loss throughout her life, including saying goodbye to treasured family members, she persisted with grace and courage. Her kindness, wisdom, and gentle humor created a warm and welcoming environment for all who entered her life. Family gatherings were occasions for storytelling and laughter, where Patricia’s presence brought comfort and a sense of belonging.
Those who survive her will remember Patricia for her selflessness, her unwavering moral compass, and her ability to love unconditionally. Her memory will be cherished by family and friends alike, and her influence will live on in the lives of all those she touched.
