Pamela McLeod

August 8, 1959 — March 20, 2024

Pamela Mcleod, 64, born August 8, 1959 passed into glory on March 20, 2024.

Pam was born in Slaton, TX to Eddie Bourland and June Ford. Her father passed away when she was young, and she was raised by a wonderful father, John Ford. She spent her elementary years in Vernon, TX and then her family relocated to Odessa, TX. She graduated from Permian High School in 1977. She went on to obtain her bachelor's in education from the University of Texas at the Permian Basin. She married her high school sweetheart, Mike, in 1981. Mike and Pam moved to Roswell in 1983 where they established roots to raise their two children, Megan and Lance.

Roswell quickly became home, full of many wonderful friendships which continue to this day. The family attended First Baptist Church for over 20 years, and then Mike and Pam attended Grace Community Church for the last 20 years. Pam was a teacher for 30 years, the majority spent at Military Heights in her frog themed classroom. She retired in 2012 and seemed to be busier than ever. She was actively involved in Bible study, and she was always reading biblical books. She loved playing dominos and having monthly social outings with her dinner club friends. Mike and Pam loved to travel and recently did a 3-week Bible lands cruise with some of their closest friends.

The majority of her time was spent with her greatest joy, her grandchildren, Audrey and Connor. She was an extraordinary wife, mother, grandmother, and friend in every way possible. "Gammy", as she was known to a lot of people, volunteered at her grandchildren's school to be near them. They adored her beyond belief as did many of their friends. They will carry on her legacy of loving Jesus and others fiercely.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Mike Mcleod, daughter Megan Brandt and son-in-law Nathan, grandchildren Audrey and Connor Brandt, brother Randy Ford and sister-in-law Lorie Ford, mother-in-law Jerry Mcleod, special cousin Jennifer Hanes and her family in Virginia, sister and brother in laws in Texas, and many dear aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents John and June Ford, Eddie Bourland, father-in-law Wilfred Mcleod and beloved son Lance Mcleod.

Pam was a joy to anyone who knew her, and her love for Jesus shone brightly wherever she went. She wanted everyone she met to know Jesus and know that he would be returning soon.

"He alone is my place of refuge and safety. He is my God, and I am trusting Him." Psalm 91
