Mary Duran

A rosary will be recited for Mary L. Duran, 77, of Roswell, NM at 7:00 pm, Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Ballard Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Thursday, October 19, 2017 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, burial will follow at South Park Cemetery. The family will be accepting visitation starting at 9:00 am on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Ballard Funeral Home Chapel. Mary passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at her home.

Mary was born August 11, 1940 to Nickolas Dominguez and Gabriela Espinoza in Roswell, NM. She was very active in her church, St. Johns and was a devoted wife and mother.

Mary's memory will be cherished by her daughters, Cathy Guilez and husband, Art Rodriguez; Marie Cortez and husband, Fernando Cortez; and Ruth Rubio all of Roswell; her brothers, Frank Gustamantes of Roswell and Trinidad Dominguez of California; sisters, Rosie and Stefana of California; sisters-in-law, Terry Chaves, Judy Gonzales, Evelyn Silva and Mary Espinoza; brothers-in-law, Gene Duran and Robert Duran. Mary was blessed with grandchildren, David, Sandra, Ernie and wife Recka, Valerie, Richard and wife Gloria, Angelica and wife Gabby, Amber, Erminda and husband Laurence, and Nicholas; 16 great grandchildren, 1 great greatgrandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore M. Duran Jr.; daughter, Irene Duran; son, David Duran; father, Francisco Gustamantes; mother, Reducinda Gustamantes; Biological parents, Nick and Gabriela Dominguez; brothers, Manuel and Nicholas Dominguez; son-in-law, Alfred Rubio; sister, Gloria Dominguez; father-in-law, Theodore Duran Sr.; mother-in-law, Josephine Duran; brothers-in-law, Richard Druan, Rumaldo Duran ad Bill Duran; sisters-in-law, Josephine Hernandez and Genevieve Duran.

Serving as pallbearers will be Laurence Macias Sr., Laurence Macias Jr., David Castillo, Art Rodriguez, Frankie Gonzalez and Richard Torrez. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Duran, Gene Duran, Nicholas Rubio, Frank Gonzales, and Angelica Quintero.
