Marion Kersul

October 16, 1934 — November 18, 2017

Marion Jean Kersul, 83, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 18, 2017. Jean was born in Roswell, NM on October 16, 1934 and was a long-time resident.
Jean was an active member of St. John's Catholic Church, and worked there for many years. She was also a volunteer who loved to teach reading to children and adults. She was a great seamstress....all you had to do was take a look at her boys in matching outfits at Easter. She also enjoyed reading, knitting, cross-stitch, crocheting and puzzles. Even though she was not blessed with grandchildren, she loved getting those phones calls from her son's niece and nephew who loved her as grandma.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Minnie O'Meara; her loving husband, Emil "Joe" Kersul; brother, Charlie Joe; and sisters, Helen Doty and Loretta Fields. She is survived by her 2 sons, Joseph Anthony Kersul and wife Audrey from Albuquerque, NM, and Mark Steven Kersul from Alpharetta, GA; brother-in-law, Paul Fields from Houston, TX; sister-in-law, Olga Kersul from Pittsburgh, PA; numerous nieces and nephews; and 2 treasured children, Kevin and Alayna, who called her "Grandma Jean".

A Rosary will be celebrated on Friday, December 8, 2017 at 1:00 PM at St. John's Catholic Church with a Funeral Mass to follow at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.
