Marcella Carol Arnold, beloved Pastor's wife, dedicated teacher, and cherished family member, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2026, in Lubbock, Texas. Born January 2 1954, in Portland, Oregon, Marcella led a life rich in faith and service to others.
For 55 wonderful years, she was the devoted wife of Rev. Dale A. Arnold. Together, they shared a partnership rooted in love and faith, as she stood by his side throughout his pastoral journey. Marcella’s commitment to her calling was evident in her work as a children’s Sunday School teacher, where she poured her heart into nurturing the next generation of believers for an astonishing 40 years. Her dedication to the Church of God and its community spanned five decades, illustrating her unwavering devotion to her faith and her deep love for God.
Marcella was a loving and supportive mother, celebrated by her children, Alan Dale Arnold and Chrisann Eloise Arnold. She radiated warmth and compassion, always placing her family's well-being at the forefront while simultaneously embodying the spirit of servitude to her church and community. Her legacy is one of love, faith, and an unending devotion to her family, friends, and God.
Her siblings also mourn her passing: Arthur L. Cisneros, Lorin H. Cisneros, Juan J. Cisneros, Cornelio J. Cisneros, Sanoma R. Jaramillo, Viola C. Archuleta, and Roslyn M. Michael, as well as her sister Frandisca E. Carlton. Together, they remember her kindness, her strength, and her enduring faith.
Marcella joins her deceased parents, Juan Cisneros and Mavis Stavren Cisneros, and leaves behind a legacy of love that will resonate through her family and the countless children she taught over the years.
A memorial service in honor of Marcella will be held on March 7, 2026, at 2:00 PM, at the Church of God located at 1601 W. McGaffey St., Roswell, NM 88203. Friends and family are invited to come together to celebrate the life of this remarkable woman who now rests with Jesus.
