Manuel Zapata

A viewing will be held for Manuel Oscar Zapata, 61, of Roswell at 9am-5pm on Thursday August 9,2018, at LaGrone Funeral chapel. A funeral service for Manuel will be held at 2 p.m. Friday,
August 10th, 2018 at LaGrone Funeral chapel with Pastor Gene De Los Santos officiating. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery. The Zapata's will be receiving family and friends at Iglesia Bautista 600 E Tilden following the burial. Manuel was born on September 18,1956 to Baltazar
Zapata and Vicenta Avalos Zapata in Nuevo Casa Grandes, Mexico. He and Rita Fernandez
were married on November 29, 1976 in Nuevo Casa Grandes; Rita survives Manuel at the
family home. Manuel was a member of Iglesia Bautista he enjoyed camping spending time with
family and loved his kids and grandkids dearly. He also was a hard worker. At the time of his
death Manuel was employed by Austin Maintenance & Construction, Inc., where he was loved
and appreciated for his hard work and dedication. In addition to his wife, Rita, Manuel is
survived by his children, Claudia Zapata of Roswell, Mireya Zapata Roswell, Mario and his wife
Clarissa Zapata of Texas; two sisters, Rafaela Zapata and Alma Zapata both of El Paso; a
brother Raul Zapata of Roswell; 11 grandchildren Raquel Mondragon, Zamiera Zapata,
Mercedes Velasco, Myela Velasco, Azalyn Zapata, Dioselyn Zapata, Mattangelo Velasco,
Giovanni McCall, Azariah Zapata, Mario Zapata Jr., Amoriah Zapata; one great granddaughter
Leila Luna. Manuel was preceded in death by his parents Baltazar and Vicenta Zapata his son
Oscar Zapata and his brother Ruben Zapata. Pallbearers will be Mario Zapata, Ramon Zapata,
Raul Zapata, Antonio Sarmiento, Mercedes Velasco, Zamiera Zapata.

cementerio de South Park. La familia recibirá a familiares y amigos después del entierro
en la Iglesia Bautista 600 E Tilden. Manuel nació el 18 de Septiembre de 1956 en
Baltazar Zapata y Vicenta Avalos Zapata en Nuevo Casa Grandes, México. Él y Rita
Fernández se casaron el 29 de Noviembre de 1976 en Nuevo Casa Grandes; Rita
sobrevive a Manuel en la casa de la familia. Manuel era miembro de la Iglesia Bautista,
disfrutó de acampar y pasar tiempo con la familia y amaba a sus hijos y nietos. Él
también fue un gran trabajador. En el momento de su muerte, Manuel fue empleado por
Austin Maintenance & Construction, Inc., donde fue amado y apreciado por su arduo
trabajo y dedicación. Además de su esposa, Rita, a Manuel le sobreviven sus hijos,
Claudia Zapata de Roswell, Mireya Zapata Roswell, Mario y su esposa Clarissa Zapata
de Texas; dos hermanas, Rafaela Zapata y Alma Zapata, ambas de El Paso; un
hermano Ra&uacutel Zapata de Roswell; 11 nietos Raquel Mondragón, Zamiera Zapata,
Mercedes Velasco, Myela Velasco, Azalyn Zapata, Dioselyn Zapata, Mattangelo
Velasco, Giovanni McCall, Azariah Zapata, Mario Zapata Jr., Amoriah Zapata; una gran
bisnieta, Leila Luna. Manuel fue precedido en la muerte por sus padres Baltazar y
Vicenta Zapata, su hijo Oscar Zapata y su hermano Rubén Zapata. Los portadores del
féretro serán Mario Zapata, Ramón Zapata, Ra&uacutel Zapata, Antonio Sarmiento, Mercedes
Velasco, Zamiera Zapata.
