Lilly Ortega

Lilly A. Ortega passed away on June 5, 2017 in Roswell, NM surrounded by her family. She was born August 31, 1936 to Frank and Elisa Aguilar in Tulare, Ca.

Lilly is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Elisa Aguilar and sister Genevieve Ripley.

Lilly loved to make people laugh and was always joking with her friends and family. Cooking was a great passion of hers and she enjoyed providing meals for her loved ones. Lilly enjoyed dancing and could dance all night especially with her husband Manuel. She was the best friend anyone could have, always willing to help, and Lilly never knew a stranger.

Lilly is survived by her husband Manuel of Roswell; son Danny of California; daughter Malena of California; sisters Julie Rue of Roswell and Josie Chavez of Mexico. She is also survived by granddaughters Kimberly, Kristy, and Katie all of California, numerous nieces and nephews and special life-long friend Bertha of California.

A rosary is scheduled for Thursday June 8, 2017 at 10:00am at Ballard Funeral Home Chapel. A memorial service will follow and internment to take place at Assumption Catholic Church Columbarium.
