Katie Florence Hudson

On November 9th, 2025, Katie left this earth to be with her loved ones that have passed on and the Lord. Born to Clinton and Pauline Laymon August 1931 in Roswell, NM.

Katie married the love her life Beauford “Bob” Hudson in March 1952. Together they raised four boys between Roswell and Artesia New Mexico. Katie talked about in her younger days picking cotton and worked at Motel 6 and a gas station. Katie worked for Allsup’s Convenience Store for 30 plus years and was store manager of the N. Main store #335 for most of that time.

Katie loved playing the piano and memorized all of the gospel hymns. She was dedicated to her church and loved the lord with all her heart. Katie loved painting ceramics and shared that talent with her grandchildren. She loved her family deeply and was fierce when it came to protecting it.

Katie is preceded in death by her husband Bob Hudson of Roswell. Brother’s Laverne and Herb Laymon of Tx. Son’s Robert Hudson of Roswell, David Hudson of Dexter, and Richard Hudson of Clovis.

Katie leaves a legacy behind, a son, Terry Hudson, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at Ballard Funeral Home on January 3rd, 2026 at 10 am then going to South Park to be buried with her husband. The Family would like to thank Ballard Funeral Home for the care they have taken during this time of grieving.
