Karla Keleana Cofran

Karla Keleana Cofran, 33, passed away on April 19, 2026, in Las Cruces. A memorial service, officiated by Pastor Lonnie Owens of Christ's Church, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 10, at the Cahoon Park Sunken Garden in Roswell. It will be a celebration of Karla's life and her memory. A barbecue will be held at the park, following the service, for a time of sharing memories, stories, laughter, and tears. There will be food and a bounce house for the kids. Family and friends are invited to attend the service and the meal.

Karla was born on March 14, 1993, in Oklahoma City, OK, to Monique Copeland, who survives her. Also surviving is her stepfather, Delbert Copeland, her sons, Juan and Naah, both of Las Cruces, sisters Keleana Rose Pierce of Oklahoma City, and Malia Grover of Roswell, and her brother, Terry L. Wayne Davis of Newalla, TX. as well as her grandfather Joe Cofran. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Mary Cofran.

Karla is remembered as a sweet, loving individual who helped others and who was always sharing a smile and a pleasant, encouraging word. She had an independent drive that helped her through a life that was not always easy. She didn't allow hardships to dim her smile or her spirit. She was baptized at Gateway Church. She is remembered and loved by her extended family and the sons she never knew, as well as by her many aunts and uncles.
