Juanita Maxine Perry
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 4, 2006 at Ballard Funeral Chapel for Juanita Maxine Perry, who passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2006 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. She was 77 years old. Pastor Dan Holt of Victory Baptist Church will officiate. Private family burial will take place later in the week.

Juanita was born on May 24, 1929 in Oshkosh, Nebraska to William and Leora Snyder Ray.

On February 28, 1949 she married Samuel Perry in Tucumcari, NM. He preceded her in death in 1987.

She was of the Baptist faith and she spent her time babysitting for many children in Roswell.

Her survivors include her sons; Sam Perry Jr. and his wife Candace of Roswell, Jack Perry and his wife Vickie of Big Spring, TX, Allen Perry of Roswell and Andy Perry of Roswell, daughters; Leora Douglass and her husband Chuck of Alamogordo, Debbie Ward and her husband James of Roswell, and Fannie Shannon and her husband Tim of La Luz, NM. She was also survived by one sister, Phyllis Scadden of Colorado, 24 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by both her parents and one daughter Billie Raikakos and 11 other brothers and sisters.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ballard Funeral Home and Crematory.
