John Santos

John De Los Santos, age 69, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday December 4, 2016 in Albuquerque with his loving wife Sylvia by his side. He has 8 brothers, 2 sisters and was preceded in death by his father Eulalio "Lalo" De Los Santos, his mother Sipriana "Sippie" De Los Santos, his brother Ruben De Los Santos, and his nephew Chris "Bud" De Los Santos. John had four sons; Matthew De Los Santos, wife Janine; Joseph De Los Santos, wife Pam; Thomas De Los Santos, wife Bertha; and Mark De Los Santos, wife Geneva. He had 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

John was raised on the East side of Roswell, NM. He was known as a great warrior and a three-time NM State Golden Glove Boxing Champion with the most destructive left hook, whatever he hit he destroyed. John owned the blueprint to that punch that paralyzed many opponents and had an amateur boxing record of 57 wins 7 losses and 52 by knockout. John was inducted into the NM Boxing Hall of Fame in 2009, where his name will remain immortalized forever.

John became a car salesman for the Chevrolet Dealership for 25 years, where he not only sold vehicles but also ministered to all those in need, this then led John into another chapter in his life.

John's passion and love for the Lord led him into full-time ministry. He was a Pastor and an Evangelist going to over 45 nations, many of them five times or more. He made many sacrifices to make sure that others learned and accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. John loved not only his family but all those he came to know through his ministry that God gave him. He will be greatly missed by many.

Visitation will be held Thursday December 8, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ballard Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Service on Friday December 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Waymaker Church, 202 S. Sunset Avenue, Roswell, NM. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers are: Joseph (Jr.) De Los Santos, Matthew Paul De Los Santos, Ernie Montoya, Julian Jimenez, Carlos Marrujo, Tommy Jimenez, Carlos De Los Santos, Paul Contreras and Chuck De Los Santos. Honorary Pallbearers are: Leroy De Los Santos, Matthew De Los Santos, Joseph De Los Santos, Thomas De Los Santos, Robert De Los Santos and Mark De Los Santos.
