Joel Aguilar, a devoted and hardworking salesman who dedicated his entire career to his profession, passed away on May 14, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas. Born on February 5, 1986, in Lerdo, Durango, Mexico, Joel’s life journey was marked by his commitment to both his work and his loved ones.

Joel graduated from Roswell High School in Roswell, New Mexico, where he laid the foundation for a life defined by diligence and determination. Those who knew him remember Joel as a man who valued hard work but also cherished the moments spent enjoying life’s pleasures. He was a man that was there during the hard times.  He was known to have a good time, especially when surrounded by family and friends, with "sea food" and a good steak, embracing joy and camaraderie as an essential part of his character.  

Throughout his life, Joel found great happiness in being with his loved ones. His hobbies included spending quality time with his family and friends, creating memories and celebrating the bonds that held them close.

Joel leaves behind a loving family who will carry forward his legacy:

2 sons, Angel Aguilar of Amarillo, Texas, and Fabian Aguilar of Farmington, New Mexico. His daughter, Klohe Aguilar of Amarillo, Texas.

His Parents: Jacinto Aguilar and Marcela Guillen of Roswell, New Mexico.

3 brothers: Leonel Aguilar of Amarillo, Texas; Arnoldo Aguilar and Saul Aguilar of Roswell, New Mexico.

2 sisters: Analilia Aguilar of San Antonio, Texas; Celina Aguilar of Roswell, New Mexico.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents and aunts, whose memories he cherished dearly.

A viewing to honor Joel’s life will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ballard Funeral Chapel, 910 S. Main St., Roswell, NM.  A Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, also at Ballard Funeral Chapel.  Burial will take place at South Park Cemetery, following the funeral.

Joel Aguilar’s life was a testament to persistence and joy, a combination that left a warm and lasting imprint on all who knew him. He will be respectfully remembered for his dedication, his gentle spirit, and the good times he so gladly shared. His legacy of hard work entwined with heartfelt enjoyment remains an inspiration to his family and friends.
