Jesus Ortiz-Carrillo

Jesus went to the heavens on Saturday, January 28, 2017. He was an early riser and would say "Happy Day", was loved by so many. He enjoyed music and to dance, took pride in how he looked and always wore his cowboy hat and boots. Jesus was always happy, loved to laugh and eat (especially beans), loved life and the outdoors. Jesus was known as "El Super Mecanico" of Chaves County; a mechanic for 14 years for farms in Dexter area, he liked to help people- family or strangers.

Jesus is survived by his loving wife, Teri Ortiz; son, Jesus Antonio Ortiz and wife Angelica of Roswell; son Louis Raul Ortiz and wife Vanessa of Roswell; daughter, Ana Maria Ortiz of Hobbs; daughter, Reina Cecilia Jurado and husband Manuel of Hobbs; stepdaughter, Crystal Acosta of Artesia; stepdaughter, Amber-Nichole Acosta of Roswell. He is also survived by much family in Delicias Chihuahua, Mexico.

Jesus was preceded in death by Olivia Soltero-Ortiz, his first wife, and parents, Jesus Antonio Ortiz and Ana Maria Carrillo-Ortiz.

With a heart of gold, friendly, happy and a big smile is how we want to remember our beloved Jesus "Don Chuy" Ortiz Sr., rest in peace.



Jesus se fue en paz al cielo el domingo, dia 28 de enero, 2017. El siempre se levantaba temprano y decia "Happy Day", fue amado por muchos. A Jesus le gustaba la musica y bailar, se enorgullecía de cómo se veía y siempre llevaba su sombrero y botas de vaquero. A Jesus, siempre sonriente, le gustaba reir, y comer (en especial frijoles), el amaba la vida y al aire libre. Jesus fue conocido por "El Super Mecanico" de Chaves County; un mecanico por 14 años en la zona de Dexter, le gustaba ayudar a toda gente y familia.

A Jesus le sobrevive su esposa querida, Teri Ortiz; hijo, Jesus Antonio Ortiz y esposa Angelica de Roswell; hijo, Louis Raul Ortiz y esposa Vanessa de Roswell; hija, Ana Maria Ortiz de Hobbs; hija, Reina Cecilia Jurado y esposo Manuel de Hobbs; hijastra, Crystal Acosta de Artesia; hijastra, Amber-Nichole Acosta de Roswell. Tamabien le sobreviven mucha familia y amistades en Delicias Chihuahua, Mexico.

Jesus fue precedido en muerte por su primer esposa, y sus padres Jesus Antonio Ortiz y Ana Maria Carrillo-Ortiz.

Amable, con un corazon de oro, alegre y sonriente es como siempre recordaremos a nuestro querido Jesus "Don Chuy" Ortiz Sr., descanse en paz.
