Jan Elizabeth Clark
Jan Elizabeth Clark was born on January 9th, 1951 in Crockett, Texas and remained there until her graduation from Crockett High School. She died on November 12, 2012 in Roswell, New Mexico after a long battle with cancer. She attended Stephen F. Austin State University and graduated from Angelina College Division of Nursing. In 1975, she married the love of her life, James Jim Clark and became his partner in Clarks Department Store. In 1990 she returned to her first love, nursing. She continued to work in nursing after she and Jim relocated to Roswell, New Mexico.
Jans life was always about others whether her patients, her friends, or most importantly, her family. She was loyal and devoted to those she loved. She is survived by her husband Jim Clark and their children, Rex Clark, Rebecca Clark Edwards, and Jaie Clark Oberlin and her husband Peter. She also leaves her grandson Kyle Edwards and the amazing memory of her second grandson Todd James Edwards. In addition, she is survived by her motherinlaw Margery Clark and her brother and sisterinlaw Edd and Janice Harkins. Jan was preceded in death by Todd and her mother Dewey Merriwether Harkins.
A private memorial service was held in Roswell, New Mexico. Those wishing to remember Jan, the life she lived and her last brave journey, may do so by making a contribution to a scholarship fund that has been established at Angelina College to be used for nursing scholarships.
