Erica Marie Alvarado
A rosary will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, September 1, 2018 at St. Peters Catholic Church with the celebration of life to follow at 11:30 am. with Father Charlie Martinez, OFM officiating.

Erica was an Angel here on earth. Anyone who knew her fell in love with her charismatic nature. She was always there when you needed her as a friend, to give direction in your time of need. She was the girl who made you smile and laugh even if she didn't mean to with her happy, bubbly, quirky personality.

She brought us life when she came into the world as a gift from the Lord. She was the best daughter a mother and father could have, and Rick and I were blessed to have her as our "One and Only".

Erica's love was Mike Acevedo. Her biggest joy though was being a momma to her little princess Emma Jade. Dressing her like a doll, combing her curly hair, taking her shopping, dance lessons and swimming. She also enjoyed being a homemaker, trying new recipes for Mike, decorating her home beautifully for holidays, especially Christmas.

After 5 weeks in the ICU and 2 wonderful "come backs" to give us her beautiful smile and facial eye expressions, our loving, good hearted, beautiful Erica Alvarado took Jesus's hand, Sunday, August 26, 2018 and slipped away from us to her Heavenly home. There she awaits her loving family and friends who ardently prayed for her recovery, Our Lord had a different plan, she succumbed to a disease called (NASH).

Erica was born on the 22nd of May 1987 to Rick Alvarado and Mary Anne Sarli-Alvarado. She is survived by her fiancé Mike Acevedo and her pride and joy, her daughter 3-year-old Emma Jade Acevedo, her Beloved grandmother Martha K. Romero, her aunts; Loretta and Cecil Tomas, Judy and Bob Nunez, Janet Romero, Judy Alvarado, Diana and Henry Lucero, Dolores Hicks, and Cristina Mary Alvarado. Her uncles; Homer Sarli, Alex Sarli, Frank Alvarado, Joe Alvarado and Pete Garcia. Special cousins Homer Dee, David and Jon Sarli, many more beloved cousins too numerous to mention. Mike's family Mike Acevedo Sr. and Lupita Everette. Martha and Bobby Trujillo and his sister Jasmine. She loved all the extended family she acquired through Mike and enjoyed having them all at their home for special holidays and gatherings. Special Lifetime BFF's Serena Reeves Carrillo, Krystle Ortega Ybarra, Valerie Vega, Vanessa Talavera Chavez, Nicole Espinoza, Vanessa Avila-Talamantes, Nadine Deeter McCray, Vanessa Alvarado, Monica Marquez and Brian Flores Vigil and many many more also too numerous to mention. You all know who you are.

Erica graduated from Roswell High in 2005 and had an Associate degree from ENMU. Being the people person that she was, her bubbly, happy personality made her many beautiful friends and regulars who always asked for her tables at Red Lobster where she served for 10 years enjoying meeting new people.

For sure Erica was a special child of God, we will never understand why she was taken from us so young, WHY? (Wait) (Hope) (Yield) we waited, we hoped, and finally yielded to Gods Will.

Many thanks to all for the visits to and in Albuquerque, to all the prayer warriors who never gave up day after day. To our family and friends who brought food to us and offered help in every way. May God Bless each and everyone always in all ways.

You left us broken hearted, leaving us so soon
and now we must find comfort in our memories of you
Erica brought us love and joy, from the moment of her birth
Sweet natured with a squeaky voice much more than we deserved

Vivacious, fun and silly, a heart so kind and true
So many dreams of what life would bring
Family, home and school

A smile that could calm the sea
eye of does-it's true
She used them every chance she had
At times took advantage too

She leaves behind her Emma Jade
her heart, her soul, her pride
So many friends and families
will miss her by their side

Her light will surely stay with us
For every life she touched
Her parents and her family
Of whom she loved so much

You'll walk with us forever
your memory will not fade
We'll cherish every memory
and share with Emma Jade

Until we meet again my love
Our Angel once here on Earth
We'll wait and pray and dream
Someday we meet at Heaven's gate
