Elizabeth
Dominguez
Sep 17, 1964 — Jul 23, 2026
Elizabeth Colleen Dominguez passed away peacefully on July 23, 2026, surrounded by the family she had spent a lifetime loving.
Elizabeth was born on September 17, 1964, in Bellflower, California, to Victoria and Frank Jaffe Jr. She had a gift for sarcasm that brought laughter to those around her. Her humor, Roman Catholic faith, resilient spirit, and enduring love for her family and friends defined the life she lived.
As a child, Elizabeth moved with her mother to Roswell, New Mexico, her mother's hometown. She later graduated from Goddard High School and became a cherished member of the Roswell community.
Many people fondly remember the small daycare Elizabeth helped her mother operate from their home. She also volunteered at local schools and Assumption Catholic Church. For more than ten years, she helped organize and gather donations for Roswell's Old Timers hot air Balloon Rally. She loved watching the balloons take flight and especially enjoyed driving chase vehicles.
Elizabeth married her husband, Alfredo Dominguez III, in 1983. Throughout their 43 years of marriage, she was a devoted wife, homemaker, and mother. In her later years, one of her greatest joys was becoming a grandmother. She treasured every moment with her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Alfredo Dominguez III; her brother, Frank Jaffe III, his wife, Ally, and their daughters, Rosalie and Raelynn; her son Timothy Dominguez, his wife, Sharon, and their children, Cathleen and Lucas, of Roswell; and her son Joseph Dominguez, his wife, Christy, and their children, Charles, Sophia, and Joseph Jr., of Roswell.
She is also survived by Daniel Aguilar and Alexander Cordova, whom she loved and regarded as sons; Alexander's partner, April Brittain; and their son, Zach, of Roswell.
Elizabeth also leaves behind two cherished friends who were like sisters to her, Oralia Aguilar and Stephanie Martin Dabis. Their friendship and love meant more to her than words could express.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Victoria Jaffe, and her sister, Deyonnia Jaffe.
The family is honored to have Alfredo Dominguez, Joseph Dominguez, Timothy Dominguez, Daniel Aguilar, Alexander Cordova, and Frank Jaffe serving as pallbearers.
