Obituary

Edwardo Trujillo, of Roswell, New Mexico, passed away on August 23, 2026, in Roswell at the age of 93. He was born on October 7, 1932, in Roswell, and remained connected to the community that marked both the beginning and the close of his long life.

He proudly served in the United States Army from 1956 to 1962.  When he came home, he discovered that he enjoyed cooking, and was an excellent chief, when it came to turkeys.  He made his career with the City of Roswell.  He was a certified Machinist, welder and all-around "Fix-it" guy.

He loved the Dallas Cowboys, unless they had a poor year, then his team was the Chiefs.

Edwardo will be remembered with love by his family and by all who knew him. He is survived by his daughters, Donna Gonzales, Martha Ann Lucero Lopez, and Virginia Wilson. He is also survived by his stepdaughters, Betty Gonzalez, Erma Linda Duran, and Margie Ramirez, and by his stepson, Louie Gonzalez. There are numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren left behind to cherish his memory. Their lives stand as part of his lasting legacy, and his memory will continue to live on through them.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cruzita Trujillo, his parents Lucas Trujillo and Sarah Torres, and by his step-sons, Arturo Ramirez and Joe Ramirez.  Those who loved Edwardo carry forward the memory of a life that was deeply rooted in family.
