David Montoya
A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 10, 2006 at St. Judes Catholic Church in San Patricio for David Montoya, 61 of Tinnie, New Mexico. He passed away on August 6, 2006 at his residence. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 11, 2006 at St. Judes Catholic Church. Rev. Alfred Galvan will officiate. Interment will be held following the service at Picacho Cemetery.

David was born on January 18, 1945 in Picacho, NM to Samuel and Eufracia Montoya. They both preceded him in death as well as one brother George Montoya.

He worked 41 years with Ozark, TWA, and American Airlines as a crew chief. He held a degree in Foreign Languages, and his favorite pastime was best spent with his family and friends. David loved to fish and play pool, and his most enjoyable moments were being able to cook for everybody.

He is survived by his sons, David Allan Montoya of Ventura, CA, and Carlos Antonio Montoya of St. Louis, MO, his brothers; Sammy Montoya and his wife Betty of Seabrook, NH, Joe Montoya and his wife Carol of Albuquerque, NM, and Melvin Montoya and his wife Diana of Roswell, and one sister, Ursula Chaves and her husband Modesto of Tinnie, NM. Other survivors include many nieces, nephews, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, uncles, aunts and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Felix Gonzalez, Felix Gonzalez III, Joseph Montoya, Joe Jaramillo, Ray Comer, and Will Huber. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ruben Sanchez, Dusty Chavez, Eddie Montoya and Chris Romero.
