David Flores, 71, passed away on Thursday, August 27,2020 in Roswell, NM after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
David was a lifelong resident of Roswell, who knew almost everyone in town and had numerous friends. David was born on March 4,1949 in Roswell, NM. He graduated from Roswell High School in 1969. David was a very loyal and hard worker. He worked several years in the grocery store industry. However; his most cherished occupation was working in maintenance for Chaves County, where he eventually retired after many years of dedicated service. David enjoyed fishing, going to the casinos, and of course watching and rooting for his all-time favorite football team The Dallas Cowboys.
David was preceded in death by his parents Victoria “Vicki” and Eliver Sanchez; sisters Delfina Flores, Lupe Franco, Mary Pineda, Sofie Montoya; brothers Andres Flores, Mariano Flores, Julio Flores and Joe Florez; and his beloved daughter Denise Jude.
David is survived by his wife of 49 years Silvia Najar Flores; sisters Lala Ledesma and husband Omero, Velia Aguilar and husband Nick; brothers Raymond Franco, Samuel Flores, Roy Flores; his daughter Andrea Ybarra and grandchildren Mikey Flores, George Munoz and Denise Ybarra.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Ballard Funeral Home Chapel from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A Rosary will then follow beginning at 6:00 p.m. Due to COVID-19 there will be limited capacity and mandatory face mask is required.
The family would like to give a special “Thank You” to Ballard Funeral Home and Crematory. The family would also like to thank all the people who brought food & flowers and expressed their condolences. David’s tribute was lovingly written in his honor by his daughter.
