A graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 3, 2009 at South Park Cemetery for Darwin Lane Scott, 69, of Roswell who passed away March 30, 2009 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. Rev. Randy Elftman of Central Church of the Nazarene will officiate.

Darwin was born on November 30, 1939 to Cad Nathaniel Scott and Cora Ila Hughlett Scott in Roswell, NM. His parents have preceded him in death, as well as, a brother Dennis Albert Scott.

Darwin is survived by his sons: Mathew Scott, Jeffrey Scott, and Thomas Scott all of Roswell; his brother: Gordon L. Scott of Edgewood, NM; and a grandson: Jeffrey James Nathaniel Scott.

Darwin was a man of many interests; he had his pilots license, was a machinist, a computer enthusiast and enjoyed flying model air planes. He was a member of the Carpenters Union, Mill Wright Union, and of the Roswell Gun Club.
