Billy Jack Chenoweth Jr., of Roswell, New Mexico, passed away on Sunday, June 22nd, 2025, at the age of 66.

Billy was born on November 18, 1958, and spent his life in Roswell, surrounded by friends, his dogs, and a family that loved him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Shelley, his cherished daughters, Shelby and Shasta, who were the pride and joy of his life, and his aunt Evelyn. He also leaves behind his three brothers, Dean, Ron, and Robert; his two sisters, Roxanna and Tracy; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Jean Chenoweth, his mother, Barbara Chenoweth, and his father, Billy Jack Chenoweth Sr.

Billy dedicated his career to the automotive industry, where his love of cars was more than just a job-it was a lifelong passion. He was well respected in his field, known for his knowledge & hard work. Friends and colleagues remember him as a skilled professional with an easy smile, always ready to lend a hand or share a story.

Outside of work, Billy was deeply involved in the bowling community. He was a proud member of the New Mexico Bowlers Association and the Professional Bowlers Association, where he made many friends and countless memories. He also loved fishing and found great peace in casting a line and spending quiet moments by the water or throwing birdseed and drinking a cup of coffee while enjoying nature.

Billy enjoyed and accomplished many things in life but above all, Billy's heart belonged to his family. His wife and daughters were the joy of his life, and it was in their presence that his eyes truly lit up. His greatest legacy was his devotion to his daughters, he took immense pride in their accomplishments and the women they've become.

Billy came from a large, close-knit family and valued the bonds he shared with each of them. Family meant everything to him, and his warm presence, laughter, and generous spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Billy will be remembered for his warm heart, his deep love for his family, and the joy he found in the simple things that made life meaningful.
