Betty Farlow

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Betty Farlow.  Betty passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by members of her loving family.

She was born on August 15, 1936, in Estancia, New Mexico, to Cecil and Mildred Ledbetter. 

Betty was a long-time employee of the El Paso Independent School District as the manager of a school cafeteria.

She was preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Mildred, her husband Don Farlow, her sister Naomi, her brothers Jack and Bill.  Also preceding her in death were her sons, Don Farlow Jr., Michael Farlow, Charles Bailey Jr., and grandson Charles Bailey III. 

She is survived by her brother, Dan Ledbetter.  She is survived by 5 children: Sherrie (Jerry) Malone, Lori Bailey (daughter in law), Royana Jane Thomas, Sally Pope, Joash (Diana) Farlow, Micki (Dan) Harris.  Betty was blessed with 20 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family is eternally grateful for Gentiva, especially Roberta, Stacy, Jessica, and Pastor Chris for their compassionate care of our mother.

A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023, at Ballard Funeral Home, 910 South Main, Roswell, NM, in the chapel at 11:00 a.m.

Per her wishes, Betty will be cremated and interred with her husband Donald L. Farlow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery in El Paso, Texas.
