Aristeo Lucero

Aristeo V. Lucero was called to heaven on February 7, 2019. He was born on February 12, 1925 in Arabela, NM to Amarante and Rebecca Lucero. He is proceeded in death by his parents, his daughter Rebecca, and his eleven brothers and sisters
He is survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Elisa. He is also survived by his four children Ray (Wanda), Patty Garcia (Alfonso), Deanna Garcia (Tommy), David (Mary) and his seven grandchildren, Kimberly, Jennifer, Karrie, Michael, James, Sabrina, Aaron, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Aristeo ranched and raised apples in Arabela until his retirement in 1997, when he sold the ranch and moved to Roswell. While living on the ranch, he served on the Hondo Valley Public Schools board of education for many years and was a member of the Lincoln National Permitees Association. He was a member of the St. Jude Catholic Church until he moved to Roswell where he became a member of Assumption Catholic Church, where he served as an usher for many years.
Services are scheduled Monday, February 11, 2019 at Assumption Catholic Church. A rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass at 10 a.m. Interment will take place at South Park Cemetery. His grandchildren will serve as his pallbearers.
