Anthony Lopez

March 2, 1994 — June 9, 2018

Anthony made his goodbyes and left this world on June 09, 2018 at the age of 24. Anthony was born to Francisco Lopez and Victoria Hernandez on March 02, 1994 in Roswell, NM. Both of his parents survive him.

Anthony was born and raised in Roswell. As a kid growing up he was known as the reserved and quiet child; but his subtlety should not be confused as being timid. He was a sharp mind who exercised restraint when speaking,
a quick wit that could parlay a reply in the appropriate moment and a strength of body that was developed from hard work and determination. The skills were grown and honed over years spent working with his father Frank.

Even at a young age Anthony wanted to be with his hero, a man he called "Dad". Regardless of the elements a young boy learns to be a man by his father and the bond that is created from that relationship is something that
transcends any other relationship he will ever have with any one else. Much of his life he toiled side by side with his father. Learning and growing a little more each day.

Anthony enjoyed boxing and took an interest in MMA (aka mixed martial arts) and loved movies that focused on that type of fighting. One of his favorites was The Punisher with its choreographed fight scenes and intense action sequences.

He had a healthy respect for God and held a belief for Him in his heart. Anthony wasn't the kind to be knocking down the church door every Sunday but he felt secure and held assurance in his heart with his Lord's love.
He lived to appreciate others in a way that could be a mutual understanding for their own spiritual experiences without reservation, prejudice or intolerance by blind bias.

Our path in this world is not always straight and sometimes it is impossible to predict. The things that matter are not the degrees or the careers that seem to try and define us; rather, the love that was given to us unconditionally.
Anthony leaves a legacy that was built by those relationships. The love and bond between Anthony and his father is part of that enduring legacy that was built. The siblings he shared moments with, both good or bad, are part of that legacy.
Anthony's path took a different turn than many but the people on that path shared a unique moment in time. They shared in his good heart, unconditional faithfulness and a beautiful inner-self that he gave to everyone freely who asked for it.
Beautiful moments that will remain in many hearts from generations to come.

Anthony is survived by his sons Ezio Ray Lopez and Ernie Ray Salcido; father Francisco "Frank" Lopez; mother Victoria Hernandez; brothers Devin, Cruz, Aaron, and Christopher; sister Arianna; grandmothers Gloria Bartlett and Amalia Hernandez;
uncles Freddy Lopez and Vincent Hernandez; aunts Francine Lopez, Lori Maldonado, Patricia Hernandez, Lisa Hernandez; and lots of cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather's Johnny Bartlett and Vicente Hernandez.
