Our Matriarch " Mama Lilly" passed peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family. Adelia worked at St. Mary's Hospital for 17 years as a laundry attendant, contributing to the overall well-being of the hospital and its patients. When she wasn't working, she devoted her time to family-helping raise and enriching the lives of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren.
In her personal time, Adelia enjoyed riding her bicycle, taking walks, and gardening. Her yard was filled with fruit and pecan trees, which everyone loved to share-sometimes taking one... or two! In her later years, she spent more time at home, celebrating family events and becoming a crossword puzzle champion.
Adelia lived to the remarkable age of 90. In those years, she touched countless lives, teaching us to be better people and to love each other more deeply. To her, we were all family-and we are so very grateful to God for sharing her life with us. Love you, Momma...Long live the bird.
She is preceded in death by her father, Victorio Velos; mother, Trinidad Salcido Velos; sister, Sue Moreno; brother, Alfredo Velos; grandson, Patrick Stefhon; and Son-in-law, Tom Solazzo.
She will be remembered by her daughters; Sophia Solazzo, of Roswell; Maria Yolanda Velos and spouse (Felipe Iglesias), of Roswell; Nina Stefhon and spouse (Jimmy Gee), of Albuquerque, NM. And a granddaughter that she raised as her own, Victoria Federico and spouse (Jose Federico) of Roswell. And numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
