Adam Chavarria

Adam "Nino" Chavarria of 2318 S. Texas St. Roswell New Mexico, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Eastern New Mexico University Medical Center in Roswell surrounded by family. There will be no visitation; cremation has taken place. A memorial service is pending at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Artesia. Adam Chavarria was born June 6th, 1945 in Artesia, New Mexico to Isabel and Lucy "Nino" Chavarria. Adam was born and raised in Artesia where he attended and graduated high school. After graduating high school, he joined and served three years in the Army reserves. Adam worked and made his living working in the oil fields for Mack Chase in Atresia. Adam met and married Helen Jaramillo of Hagerman in 1966 and raised three children. Adam was preceded in death by his parents; Isabel and Lucy, Brother Jody Chavarria, and sister Eva Ruiz of Artesia. Survivors are son Adam Jr. of Las Vegas NM; son Michael and wife Tish Chavarria of Carlsbad NM; daughter Lori and husband Lencho Ornelas of Roswell NM; and daughter Michelle Gallerito and husband Ustes of Mescalero NM. Brother Ishmael and wife Lola Chavarria of Artesia, brother David and wife Judy Chavarria of Artesia, brothers Jerry, Nick and Freddie "Boo Boo" Chavarria of Artesia. Sister Mary "Queena" Chavarria of Artesia and sister Henrietta and husband Raymond Chavez of Carlsbad NM. Adam had 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Adam also had numerous nephews and nieces.
