Joe Bachicha

November 4, 2030 — November 28, 2019

Joe Tranquilino Bachicha was born on November 4, 1930, in Estancia NM, to Carlota and Jose Bachicha who precede him in death.  Our loving father passed away on November 28th when he was called home to be with our Lord.  He was a faithful husband to Mary Bachicha who also preceded him in death.  Joe had five children, 16 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.

Those who survive him include his son Gilbert Bachicha and his wife Carol of Roswell, their children Katrina and her kids, Joseph and his wife Jessica and their kids, Jerry, Aliyah, Thaddeus, and Azmaria; daughter Teresa Taylor and her husband Steve of Uniontown, KY and their kids Steve Jr, Anthony and his child, Sarah and her daughter;  daughter Christine Bamberg and her husband Robert (Beau) Bamberg of Roswell and their children Audrey Quiroz and her kids, Billy Quiroz and his daughter, and Norah;  Geneva Brumlow of Roswell and her kids Michael and Deborah; his sister Nina Gomez of ABQ, and numerous nieces and nephews.  His son David Bachicha also precedes him in death; and all of Joe’s other brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers will be Gilbert Bachicha, Joseph Bachicha, Beau Bamberg, Billy (Sonny) Quiroz, and Mike Brumlow.

Joe served as a Marine during the Korean War.  He later moved to Horse Spring NM, where he worked as a rancher.  He then met the love of his life Mary in Moriarty and they married on June 24, 1960 in Juarez, Mexico.  They moved to Mountainair where they had their first born and then later moved to Roswell and raised their five children in a house that he moved while working for Maxwell House Movers.  He also helped build the dam at Clayton Lake State Park in the mid 1950’s.

Joe had a passion for Christ and grew up as a Catholic.  He had a big heart and was always willing to help anyone in need.  He loved being with his family, going to the gym and spent many days at the Joy Center after he retired where he was very competitive in playing pool with his friends.  He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Revelation 21:4 “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
