Ethen Lilly

Ethen John Lilly, 23, was called home to be with our Creator on May 25, 2019. He was born in Seguin, Texas to Brian Lilly and Trey Anderson Lilly on December 10, 1995. Ethen started kindergarten in Hagerman, NM and spent his entire education career as a student at Hagerman schools. He competed in football, basketball, and track. He placed third in state in the long jump competition as an 8th grader. He was an avid sports lover, enjoyed riding horses, and spending time with friends and family.
Ethen was a kindhearted, loving soul who would lend a hand to anyone. He didn't know a stranger. Above all, Ethen was a loving dad. Ethen's family was blessed to come to know him on a deeper level by observing his adoration and fierce love for his two-year-old daughter. He was a kind, attentive, and engaged father. His love for his family was generous and evident. Ethen's loved ones deeply mourn the loss of a daddy, true love, son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. We should all be reminded of how deeply connected we are through the love of family. The loss of Ethen sent a ripple of despair through the hearts of his family and friends, and is a solemn reminder to love one another abundantly, and that each minute together is a gift to be treasured.
Those left to cherish Ethen's memory are his girlfriend, Kaylee Callaway of Roswell, NM; daughter, Ava Catherine Lilly of Roswell, NM; son Josaiah Xavier Lucero of Hagerman, NM; Father, Brian Lilly of Hagerman, NM; Mother, Trey Anderson Lilly of Artesia, NM; siblings Seth Lilly and wife, Taylor, and children Paisley Lilly, and McCoy Lilly of Hagerman, NM; Seren Lilly and fiancé, Jeremiah Derrick, and daughter, Enslee Derrick of Artesia, NM; Christen Kalisek, and husband PJ of Dexter, NM; grandparents, Glen & Peggy Anderson; grandmother, Yvonne Lilly; great grandmother Peggy Bell; aunt, Varsi Martin & husband Pat; aunt Melodia Robinson and husband Robbie; uncle Blaine Lilly and wife Molly; uncle, Frank Lilly; and numerous cousins. Ethen was preceded in dead by his grandfather JF Lilly and dear precious family friend "Aunt Jackie" Louise Falt.
Services for Ethen will be held in Hagerman, NM at the Lindell Andrews Community Center on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.
